TalentMirror

Terms of use

Version 1.0 · effective 24 September 2026

These terms apply to everyone who signs in to Talent Mirror, a tool built and run by Tonic Agency Limited (“Tonic”, “we”), company number 08035962. By signing in you agree to them. If you use Talent Mirror as part of an engagement between your organisation and Tonic, the contract for that engagement comes first wherever it says something different. Tonic’s general terms of use cover its public website.

1. Who may use it

Talent Mirror is not a public service. It is for Tonic staff, and for people at Tonic’s clients to whom Tonic has given a login. Nobody can register for an account themselves.

2. Your login

  • Your login is for you alone. Do not share it or let anyone else use it.
  • Keep your password safe, and use a strong one you do not use anywhere else.
  • Tell us straight away at leantonio.nelson@tonic-agency.com if you think someone else has used your login, or you have seen something you should not have.
  • We may suspend or remove a login to protect the service, a client or the people whose data it holds.

3. Using it properly

You must not:

  • try to see audits, reports or data you have not been given access to;
  • try to get round any security or access control, or test the service’s security without our written permission;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the service;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you have no right to share;
  • use anything in Talent Mirror to identify, profile, contact or make decisions about an individual person — it analyses employers, not people.

4. Confidentiality

Audits, reports and briefs are confidential to Tonic and the client they were made for. Share them only with the people working on that engagement, and only through the sharing controls in Talent Mirror or as your engagement contract allows.

5. What the analysis is, and is not

Talent Mirror reads public material about employers and, with the help of AI models, counts how often each employer speaks to each of Tonic’s twelve factors. Every figure can be traced back to the passages behind it. Even so:

  • it reflects only what was publicly available and found at the time of the audit, and may miss material or misread it;
  • written summaries and recommendations are drafted with AI and reviewed by Tonic, and may still contain errors;
  • quotes are the words of the employers, employees, journalists and others who published them — not Tonic’s, and not endorsed by Tonic;
  • it is research to inform your judgement, not advice to rely on without it.

6. Other people’s content

The passages Talent Mirror quotes belong to whoever published them. They are used in short extracts for research and analysis, and identifiers of private individuals are removed first (see the privacy notice). Do not republish quotes in a way that goes beyond that purpose.

7. Ownership

Talent Mirror, its software, design and Tonic’s twelve-factor framework belong to Tonic. What a client may do with a report made for it is set by its engagement contract. What you type into Talent Mirror remains yours or your organisation’s; you give Tonic permission to use it to run the service.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Talent Mirror available and correct, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will give clients reasonable notice of changes that affect their engagement.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Tonic is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, Talent Mirror beyond what the relevant engagement contract provides. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal data — yours, and that of people whose public words Talent Mirror reads — is set out in the privacy notice. Cookies are described on the cookies page.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date are shown at the top, and we will tell users about significant changes. Continuing to use Talent Mirror after a change means you accept it.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
